Hair Requirements

Stageworks chooses "studio hair" so that those students who are in a number of performances can prepare for each number without the stress of changing their hair.

Please ensure that female dancers have their hair in a bun as appears in the enclosed picture and male dancers have their hair slicked back.

Please ensure that all bangs and loose hair is neatly slicked and pinned back.

The lighting in theatres and auditoriums is very harsh and can wash out the performers face making it difficult to see their beautiful eyes and amazing smiles, therefore we ask that students wear makeup.

Please use a brown eyeshadow, pink blush, and red stain.
We do not recommend using mascara and we advise lip stain to eliminate lipstick getting on costumes or wiped off and all over their face.

Stageworks has taken great care into preparing costumes for the students to wear. These costumes are meant to last for years to come. We ask that all students therefore wear a light tank top with light shorts or a light leotard.

Students will wear their tights they wear in class.

All ballet students wear pink tights
All jazz or tap students including Twinkle Stars
and Showstars wear beige tights.

Hiphop and Acro students do not wear tights.

Pink Ballet Shoes Beige Jazz and Tap Shoes

Acro is Barefeet

Hiphop have sneakers with their costume

Costumes are presented to the students and are labelled just for them and will be used at the time of the rehearsal on the 8th and the 11th.
Costumes do not go home with students.
